Feature walkthrough: File-level archival in Microsoft 365 with Syskit Point

We have been experimenting with the recently released file-archival feature of Microsoft 365 Archive. As a long-time SharePoint evangelist, I am really happy to see how SharePoint is now widely adopted by end-users from companies large and small.

But we are now approaching another challenge: having “too much” content in Microsoft 365 workloads. This in turn creates the following problems:

  • Storage, while generous, is limited and organizations will eventually run out.
  • Content will become stale over time, and there will be duplicate documents.

Now in our integration we are relying on Microsoft archival abilities but trying to give Microsoft 365 administrators more context and more power when it comes to file archival.
